Epiphany

(The star) led them on until it hovered over the place of the child. They could hardly contain themselves: They were in the right place! They had arrived at the right time!

They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they knelt and worshiped him. Then they opened their luggage and presented gifts: gold, frankincense, myrrh.
Matthew 2:10,11 (The Message)

Sixth night yesterday. Did Perfect have a tree burning ceremony?

Vee, artificial tree, but at 11:30 last night I slipped the bag over the tree and removed it from the living quarters. True story.

I broke with tradition. Had our tree out of our living room the day after New Year's. It went to a thrift store as I'm not moving it again. Maybe out there in the west I will just go out and chop down a tree. : )

"opened their luggage" phrasing made me laugh out loud. And got me looking up The Message - wasn't famiiar with that. Think it's probaby too contemporary sounding for me. Kim in PA

Kim, The Message is no substitute for the tried and true standards, but I enjoy reading it just to experience Eugene's phrasing. Sometimes gain an insight, too.
