So sad to lose a tree or a good perennial that brought years of joy with its blossoms. Time to shop for a new one and let the decaying roots feed the new life.
Oh, geez...that puzzle! yikes!
I think you should turn your mushroom photo into a puzzle--now THAT would be tough!
Lin, the puzzle was a bit tricky. What a great idea! and we have a puzzle factory right here in town that will do that (we have had some done). No mom-and-pop business, either-- they employ about 170 people.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

Isaiah 61 is a beautiful psalm.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
Chuck, thank you for posting that Psalm here. (I was not unaware of the fact that I lifted the title from scripture.)
I was always a huge jigsaw puzzle fan. Haven't done one in a long time now. Life changes.
Shark, I guess one might say we are truly blessed to have time for such frivolous activities. We enjoy it.
Scripture is part of the fabric of your life, woven in to warp and weft thereof. I'm sure that explains the situation. Or am I wrong?
Chuck, I think you are not wrong.
