I haven't been to Tipton for years...nay, decades.
Do they still have the powwows there? I enjoyed them tremendously and the townfolk were always so friendly and gracious.
Love those county fairs, and that one sounds like it will be great- an oinking good time!
Our church holds its annual Hog Roast on the 8th. I'll think of you and Tipton while I enjoy my pork here in Michigan.
Jacquelineand, the Pow Wow was held this past Saturday and Sunday.
Shelly, our county fair is in July. It's redeeming feature is the showing of animals and other 4-H projects. This festival is basically a noisy pig-out (pun intended) with loud music and street vendors.
Chuck, and I'll think of that hog roasting, if I can think over the raucus good-time going on here.
If I have to think about where my food comes from I kinda lose my appetite...pigs are cute and very intelligent it's a darn shame they taste so good...(I'm making myself ill just typing this. think I just make a salad for dinner.)
Do they have pork chops sammiches? 'Cuz I'm coming down if they do. I LOVE those things!
Grace, I understand what you are saying, but I still like me some pork chops, or ham, or bacon...
Lin, tons and tons of pork chops on the grill!
I love a good pulled pork sammie!
Shark, lots of good pig-type comestibles to be had here this week!
I think I have eaten every part of a pig. jowl bacon pigs feet, pig ears, possibly the snout in souse, and I squeal in delight. Thats a sound byte.
