Thank the Lord

The lightning flashed, the thunder crashed;
the rain poured upon the earth.
We are blessed!

And because the wind accompanied the rain, I have a yard full of twigs and branches to pick up.
That's okay; I'll trade a bit of labor for the sweet water.

May we continue to be so blessed.

Of course, the blessing woke me up at 4:30 am when something made a loud thump on the roof. A branch, no doubt. I'll check after breakfast to see if there's damage.

Shelly, thank you; we are blessed indeed.

Jim, hope you've no serious damage. Limb got part of roof on neighbor's shed, but we seem to have sustained no structural damage.

We had 0.3 inch of rain. A mile to the west they had a few drops. A mile to the east it was 1.3 inches.

And don't it feel GOOD?

A nice drink for the earth...

Congrats! We got some, too. Cooler weather at last!

Chuck, rainfall can be pretty spotty like that. Not everyone who needs it got any, but we are grateful for our rainfall!

Pearl, it does feel good. It is wonderful.

Rebecca, good; glad you got wet, too. Cool enough for a scooter ride, so here we go!

This summer it seems like any rain is just so much blessing, that I want to go outside and stand in the water.
