Mr. Toad

I stepped out the front door to be greeted by a gorgeous, beautiful fall day, and by a lovely toad sitting in the middle of the sidewalk, a mere six feet from the door. He allowed me to photograph him; he let me walk past him to get him from another angle. He never so much as flinched.

The world has held great heroes
As history books have showed
But never a name has gone down to fame
Compared with that of Toad!

Jim-- He does like his space.

Lin-- I'm partial to toad. Don't have to maintain a pond-- Don't own any waders, doncha know?

Chuck-- And no croaking after sunset.

Marydon-- Oh, we enjoy the critters around here. Though one of our moles got run over in the road last night.
