We didn't have to mess with this foolishness until we elected the consummate politician as our governor. I would mind it a whole lot less if we were actually in the correct geographic time zone. But the effect is that for seven months of the year we are really on "double daylight time."
(That's the governor who lives "at home" because our governor's mansion is beneath his station in life. I guess.)
