Go, Snow!

If there were a method whereby one could date the falling of this snow, it would tell us First Week of January.   I am fairly certain of this, because that snowfall drifted a serious mound of the stuff into this spot, following which we had another four feet or so of snow over the course of the winter and lots of serious cold.  So there was no real opportunity for this patch to melt.

Now we have had two days in the sixties and another one or two in the fifties during the past ten days.  Our snow decor has been reduced to this blob on the north side of the barn.

Tuesday afternoon it was perhaps six feet wide, fourteen feet long.  Today, Wednesday, it is predicted that we will have rain.  Likely, therefore, the snow will be gone this evening!  Well, it has been a long winter, and I for one hope that this is really the end of the snow.  For this season.

Still lots of snow here my friend. Want some. You can have all you want. For free. You haul.

We have lots. Some drizzle today, but then supposed to be more snow later. I'm liking the warmer sun though. 50s and 60s sound great to me.

Shelly, it is, for enough is too much, already.

Chuck, oh, no. Thank you. It is "not snow" that I want.

Sharkey, I know you are a fan of snow, but even you have limits. Hope Spring springs soon for you.

We have a pattern (for the last month/6 weeks) of a once-a-week day of Spring, which usually comes a few days after our once-a-week snow event - This week is no different - snow Monday - cold until Saturday when we will have our one day of Spring, then temps drop and guess what for next Tuesday? No joy here.

It's all gone here. I was in South Bend over the weekend and they're not remotely so lucky.

Grace, sad and consistent as the evidence is, I still somehow believe that Spring will come!

Jim, I noted that two Michigan friends commented that they still had plenty, too.

We still have mounds here too. Some out by the street aren't white anymore...they are more black and icky...but they are snow still the same. I'm ready for all of it to melt already!

Lin, snow is all gone from the yard now! Woot-woot! Still have some mounds on the city pool parking lot, but they were mountains.
