BREAKING THE "WORDLESS" FEATURE.  MY SISTER AND BROTHER-IN-LAW HAVE BEEN ORDERED TO EVACUATE THEIR HOME IN COLORADO SPRINGS.  PRAY FOR COLORADO AND THOSE WHO HAVE LOST THEIR HOMES, AND FOR THOSE WHOSE HOMES ARE THREATENED.

Neat features in those houses. Like the port-hole window and the wrap-around porch. Hope your sister and b-i-l come through the fire episode okay.

They don't make them like that anymore. :( I love old houses. The new houses that try to replicate these just don't cut it.

I am praying those Colorado fires end soon and all those involved are safe.

Enjoyed looking at the houses- large front porches are really great!

I love American/Victorian architecture. Has the beautiful balance but not the gaudy frills.

Chuck, the sibs are safe; have 2 carloads and a pickup full of possessions with them.

Lin, I love them, too, but the new construction is a whole lot easier on the pocketbook going forward.

Shelly, prayers are appreciated. I like front porches, and BBBH wants one built on our too-modern-for-it house. Oh, well architectural eclecticism.

Rebecca, I truly like the lines, the porches, and, with you, the lack of gingerbread.

Quite a range of choices on that corner. Colorado is just unbelievable. Hope your sister's house survives.
