On this date in 1934 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana bank robbers and murderers Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow died in a bullet-riddled 1934 Ford.

I didn't hear about this holiday. I guess there is enough crime and murders going on these days that they don't have to report the old stuff.

I saw a documentary on them once and it was absolutely fascinating! I read that they are making a modern-day movie about them as well.
Existentialist, they lived unconventional and wicked lives and we seem to be perpetually fascinated by such. One tidbit I read stated that when she died Bonnie was wearing the wedding ring given her by her husband whom she had not seen in five years.
