Fair Time, '16

Hey, Ma, wanna go to the fair?

Sure, but we'll have to put on shoes.

 Plev-nee, Ma, Plev-nee

 Judgin' the livestock, Pa.

BBBH always heads to the goats.

JoLynn thinks this fella got gypped out of his ears.

 Er-a-er-er! These guys were loud!

Tipton's new approach to waste disposal.
I may have more to say about this later.

And that is our visit to the fair, 2016.

BBBH is looking well! I love farm/country fairs. Don't get a lot of them around here, okay, none. I personally don't understand the whole goat thing - pet them and it will take days to get that goat smell off your hands!

That was a fun visit. As to Grace's comment, Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

Grace, Beautiful's first time out of the house since coming home from hospital. Nice evening at the fair, which we almost missed as I didn't realize Tuesday was the last day and we arrived at nine p.m. The kids washed and brushed their animals so frequently that they hardly had time to work up an odor!

Chuck, well, petting goats is rather fun and they like it. They'll eat your clothing, too, if you are not careful.

Those kinds of waste trucks seem to come and go. Places think they will save on labor costs, but the guys on the trucks always seem to come back. I think maybe they break too much.

Oh my gosh...Chuck's comment. LOVE that!

So glad that you two are out and about at the fair! That is wonderful news.

Petting stinky goats is just the icing on the cake.

Sharkey, I think it is a bad choice on several levels. Truck initial cost, $477,500. How many years could they pay the one guy it will displace? and the truck won't be buying groceries and baby clothes. Worse, from my standpoint, the guy replaced will probably be my grandson (seniority issue). And the truck's projected "life" is fifteen years, etc, etc, I could go on and on. Then me at eighty two having to position and store the "tote" monstrosity-- GROWL!

Lin, I am trying to follow Chuck's counsel, "don't sweat the petty things," with the addendum: "They're all petty things."

I like going to fairs, but only if the weather is relatively cool.

Vee, it was nine p.m. and quite nice, unlike this afternoon. Whoa!
