Forget the Whistle Stop Cafe...

drop in at the kitchen of BBBH.

She said, "Would you like some fried green tomatoes?"

Hard to believe she had to ask.  Oh, I know.  Get the taste buds excited!

 Labor intensive, but oh, my!

This is the saucepan that featured prominently in last Saturday's blog post.
This is the best I could do.  I was just ready to give it a toss when I heard the words,
"I used that pan for thirty-five years."

What could I do?

Copper-clad stainless steel cook ware. I forgot what happened to ours. It has been replaced with aluminum-clad versions. Don't think I've ever tried fried green tomatoes.

Oh my, fried green tomatoes - with remoulade sauce in a restaurant and just plain at home - one of the perks of moving south. Yes, please!

Chuck, slice green tomatoes, dip in egg, drag thru flour both sides, place in skillet containing hot oil of choice. Turn to cook evenly. S&P in flour if desired. Enjoy! Mix remaining flour & egg, drop into oil for fritters.

Vee, just has another plateful with fried onion rings and bacon.

Wish you were here.

Grace, I don't know remoulade. Will keep in mind.
