22 For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment unto the Son:
23 That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father which has sent him.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26 For as the Father has life in himself; so has he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27 And has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me.
Herein Jesus established the fact that all judgment is given by the Father to him. It is Jesus and Jesus alone who determines an individual's fitness for eternal life, or if he be condemned.
The escape from condemnation is simple and clearly stated by the Master in verse twenty-four: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. --John 5:24
Do not allow yourself to be one who hears these words from Christ the Judge: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:---Matt. 25:41

Simply stated in the book of John, but people have become confused throughout the ages by the ideas of men. Sad.
(Beautiful sunset behind your garage.)
Vee, Man, in his extreme brilliance, has managed all too often to miss the simplest and plainest facts. Well, he thinks he is too smart for those simple facts.
The sunset was beautiful, couldn't really capture that. But an hour before sunset, sno-laden wind hooting 60 mph. Woo-ee!
yup, and talk about being "a man without a country;" that everlasting fire wasn't even made as a destination for humans
Sharkey, correct. And sadly, people even joke about how much "fun" they'll have there because all their friends will be with them.
