Wild!

An unexpected benefit of the camping experience eventuated thusly.  Behind the RV, to Kent's left, is the woods.  The wild grapes were climbing the oak tree and the ash tree behind our vehicle.  Kent and his mother picked grapes, lots of grapes.

Following our trip home and a day to rest up, BBBH turned the grapes into jelly.

And there is a gallon of wild grape jelly!  (Counting the bowl on the table from which we are eating.)
With no disrespect to Welch's™ their product does not come close to the lip-smacking flavor of this jelly.  Take it from a guy whose last choice in the jelly aisle is grape.  This stuff is flavoricious!

WOWEE! What a find! And what talent it is to turn that bounty into jelly. I can only imagine how delicious it is. Yum!

Lin, yum, indeed. We definitely win this time! Think I'll go make some toast right now.

That must very tasty, but I have a problem with that. My doctor has told me, "If it tastes good, Don't eat it." What does he know?

Enjoy your jelly toast. We have some here that Sylvia made from her dad's grapes.

Chuck, were I in your shoes, I believe I would be looking for another doctor. Oh, wait. I am looking for one since mine fired me.

The jelly toast was great!

Oh I am so envious! I just bet that jelly is delicious - Y'all do that with the persimmons too, dont'cha? I am so moving next door to you. I'm sure there is something I can do to barter for some of those luscious stuffs...

Grace, when you are a near-neighbor, be assured you will share in the bounty! I process persimmons for pudding. I have never attempted jam or jelly.

Wild grape flavor almost makes vines start to curl out of your ears. It's like when Aslan breathed on Narnia at the end of the winter.

Sharkey, perfect images; both of them.
