I read all the stuff and came away wondering - What happened to her daughter? And - why did those men commit suicide when she left them? She must have been quite a femme fatale.
Grace, when Betty, the daughter, was about eight years old, her mother was imprisoned and her father killed himself. A kind couple, Margaret and Arthur Logan took the child in and raised her to adulthood. Later when Louise was out on parole, she moved herself into the Logan home, which eventuated into the murder of Margaret. Louise the committed Arthur to an asylum. These were the events, as I understand it, that lead to the death penalty for Louise.
I am totally puzzled as to why anyone would kill himself over the loss of a woman. Maybe that is just me.
Shark, truthfully, we hope no one would be suicidal; but I know there would be sadness for many. Interesting that you mentioned your grandmother. My grandmother was born in July of the same year this woman was born.

Unusual for a female to be involved in such nefarious deeds.
Chuck, unfortunately the annals of murder are filled with persons of the female persuasion, some of whose body counts makes Peete look like a piker.
