Fried Green Tomatoes

I had pulled the tomato vines, and last evening Beautiful worked her kitchen magic. She prepared the skillets and the oil, sliced and diced the tomatoes, some sweet onions, and a few mushrooms. The egg-and-cornmeal breading coated these and they went into a skillet. Lovely strips of chicken breast fried in the other pan.

Presently this was all on a platter, and we were at table ready to dig in! I took the biscuits from the oven, and the feast was on. If you should wonder why there is no photo of such a repast, I can only say at such a time "camera" is not one of the things one is thinking about!

Agreed. The camera is something you think of after.

Your BBBH makes the tastiest - but no recipes to share because she just does it. I still would like to have a "recipe" for the sauce she serves over her fresh squash. It makes my mouth water when I think about it.

I have too often forgotten the camera on similar occasions. I'm not fond of breaded fried things, though

I dunno, photos of food just never does it justice as far as I'm concerned. Hey--does Grace's invite apply to me??? I may just pop in sometime!!

Shark, we don't make them a staple of the diet, but consider it a treat when we do eat them.
