I cancelled yesterday's post because upon reflection and a last-minute rereading I realized that whereas I intended it to be funny, it was just pathetic. Puerile. Lame. Juvenile.
There are several humorous bloggers on my to-read list. They make me laugh. They make me wish I could make you laugh. But here's the thing. While I have a sense of humor and very much enjoy reading funny stuff, I am not a funny writer. It looks so easy, too, when one is reading Pearl, or Jon, or Jana, or JennyMac. Leigh is funny, and so is Crotchety.
But I'm not funny.
Still, I enjoy funny.

I understand. My "funny" usually comes off as a superfluous rant. But I do enjoy funny, too.
Have a great weekend.
I think we all have our style of funny. I personally think you are funny, Vanilla. I especially enjoy your comments.
It's all in the eye of the beholder, pally.
I can't write funny either but in real life - I am an hoot and a half!
It takes a special kind of insanity to write humor every day.
Rebecca, our consolation shall be that, though we may not be humor writers, we still enjoy funny.
Lin, thank you. So long as writers and readers are entertained, funny is less important than interesting. And you do have a very funny style. As micky D says, i'm lovin' it.
Grace, I find your writing very interesting, and yes, even funny. I can easily believe you are a hoot and a half.
Shark, perhaps it is twisting your intent a bit, but I choose to take it that you mean I'm sane, after all. Or perhaps just that I lack that "special kind" of insanity?
