Two hundred years ago today, Abraham Lincoln was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky. It is virtually universally agreed that he was the greatest president this country has ever had. It is highly likely that he shall always be the greatest man who has ever been president. There have been over 16,000 books written about him. Yet there are many unanswered questions regarding his life and his work.
We honor him because he was a true American, worthy of honor.
