High School, Senior English

He prayeth best who loveth best

All things both great and small

For the dear God who loveth us,

He made and loveth all.

Chuck, that verse teaches me that Jesus came not to condemn, nor should I; but he came to save and I should teach of his saving grace.

KCBob, it is interesting to me that a very high percentage of people who remember the poem recall it for the "Water, water everywhere..." lines; yet I think these lines are the best in the whole long tale.

Shoot, water, water, etc. - well, to begin with it doesn't tell us anything, and secondly, out West here we don't have any. So I more than agree with you - these are MUCH better lines. Have a nice Labor Day tomorrow.

Marsha, the drought in your area saddens me, for though it is leagues away from our bailiwick it affects us all. May things improve soonest.
