Happy Birthday, Baby

Dear Beloved,

Old and broken, shattered pieces on the floor.  No, not a vase or urn, but the man who walked through your door.  He thought his life was over, nothing left to live for; but you picked up the pieces, reshaped them, glued them, and even more: you loved him, cared for him, gave him the life he needed.  Today he laughs and smiles and lives, he's so glad he heeded the gentle words you said and accepted the kind offerings that your love gives.  Let's go on together so long as we have life.  I know that in this walk the Lord has led: I am forever grateful that you've agreed to be my wife.  Happy birthday!

Today is BBBH's birthday.  The number associated with that, she says, is quite large.  Yes, I suppose it is, but as someone wisely pointed out, it is only a number.

Lin, thank you ever so much!

Verla, and just how would that differ from any other day?
She thanks you for the good wishes.

Shelly, we appreciate your good wishes!

Chuck, thank you. (Should I admit the picture is a "selfie"? Well, there was no one else on the beach that day.)

Grace, thank you. I sang it to her on your behalf. Possibly not as melodiously as you would have done, but I gave it my best.

And a happy one I hope it was! In AL we stayed with a couple, Paul and Mary. Mary and JoAnn would either be instant friends or self combust in the same space. They are a pair.

Sharkey, oh, that would be fun just to see which outcome would occur.
