Project (Continued)

Then imagine the view when seated rather than standing.

Last evening, a neighbor had an overnight visitor.

I was fortunate to get these shots at sundown.

My Dad's '56 Ford had exactly this color scheme, though his was a fordor Custom rather than a Crown Vic.

Not to be critical, but I really don't see that your view is changing all that much. You're going from "neighbor's back yard and houses" to "Neighbor's fence and tops of houses".

It's not like you had a beautiful mountain vista view that he's blocking.

I guess I don't understand why this galls you so much. You can't expect beautiful unobstructed views when you live in town...even right on the edge of it...towns grow. Things change. That's life.

All I can say is that I'm glad you're not doing what so many in this country do in this day and age...trying to use the power of government to force the guy into doing what you want.

You're just grinning and bearing it rather than trying to prevent the lawful owner of that land from using it as he sees fit. Kudos for that.

Oh...Nice car. Forgot to mention that.

Jim, the fence, or the car?

Marsha, it is a beautiful set of wheels, indeed.

Sailorcurt, I was involved in writing the zoning regulations, and I fully recognize, and appreciate, the neighbor's right to a fence. Further, I am adjured by the Master to "love my neighbor," which I do; but I do not feel I am obliged to love his fence. :-)

He who said "Good fences make good neighbors" may have been right; for the fence that keeps me out will keep the neighbor in.

Not sure I understand the fence thing, but the car is of that era of showy rides that I understand has some appeal, but I don't "get it."

I haven't been able to figure out yesterday's post or this one re: the view. I don't know what I'm supposed to be seeing - there is a large expanse of lovely yard and a fence??? I must admit that the hose interlaced along the top of the fence is not attractive. Build your own higher fence???

Now the car is very cool indeed!

I'm not much drawn to old cars. Modern materials and engineering are great.

That car is just too beautiful.

Sharkey, the car is a nostalgia thing. Old guys do that, you know.

Grace, leave it to you so spot the hose I parked temporarily in the fence. Tall fence: A case of nibbiness; I was able to see what was going on in the neighborhood, prior to the fence. There. I admit it.

Chuck, so long as there are people who think as you do there shall be progress.

Pearl, I was blessed to come of age in an era when automobiles were presented as an art form.

Oh, so Mr. Nosey-Parker wants less fence, not more...Ahhhh

Grace, you got it.
