Pow Wow

Tecumseh Lodge holds its Pow Wow on the Tipton County Fairgrounds every year, Labor Day weekend.  Pitching of tipis, beading, dancing, and other Native American stuff.

I arrived on the scene too early to actually engage any of the participants, so just pix.

I''m guessing some of these tents are quite a significant monetary investment.  And you'd have to have a thirty-foot flatbed trailer to transport those poles!

Of course not, I cracked, they've eaten their dogs.
That's not funny; so why did BBBH crack up laughing?

Actually, I find it almost unbelievable that that many people would camp out for two days without their pets.  What the heck?

That last one and your comment caught me so off guard I am still laughing. Well done-

I'm with you, Vanilla, what is the point of camping if you can't talk your pet?

Have a great weekend.

Sorry, I mean "take" your pet, not talk - but I do talk to my dog, quite often. Just saying ...

Shelly: *grin*

Marsha, I talked to my dogs, too. Our home hasn't a four-legged member at present. Flaw.

I find myself not attracted to PowWows, even though they are a big deal here.

Sharkey, I went once a few years ago and watched some of the dancing, admired the costumes. But it really isn't my thing, either. This visit was early morning, pictures only and home to post them on the blog.
