...freezes over

Snowfalls in Florida as yardstick for global warming.

From 1774 to 1900, there were 17 recorded instances of snow falling in Florida.
During the 20th century, there were 20 instances.
Thus far in the 21st century, there have been 12 snowfalls.

Here's the arithmetic:
Line 1, about one snowfall every seven and one-half years.
Line 2, one every five years.
Line 3, one every year.

January 19, 1977 Miami saw its first snowfall. Snow fell as far south as Homestead.

Wow- that makes it very clear. I had not heard of these statistics- very interesting.

Maybe Florida is getting our snow.

You should start an organization, become the leader, produce a movie, make lots of money, ...

Shelly, again, one never knows what one might find on STSTT.]

Vee, didn't someone do that? Using perhaps the same degree of scientific analysis that I did?

I do believe I detect a bit of sarcasm from Vee. Go girl go!
The word that is missing from the title must be "Brain." Either that or "They hain't got one." Just sayin' . . .

Chuck, Vee sarcastic? Nah, not much. Yes, "Brain."

I am surprised to hear it snowed in Homestead! That is way south.

But a lot of things surprise me!

Jackie, apparently only the one time, January 19,1977, so far as anyone knows.

I'm surprised almost daily by something or other.

The North has been sharing.

Shark, and no doubt happily so. Unless one is a snowbird visiting Florida in the winter.
