Don't get me started on DST. You have a workable solution there. And clearly, the author of this screed was a pupil of the Palmer Method.

As your map so graphically illustrates, this time of year Michigan is on double DST. It started with Wm. Durand and the auto industry wanting to be on the same time as their NY bankers.

I don't mind. I enjoy being able to sleep late. I did not like living on the east coast. Bright light before 4 AM is no good IMO.

Jim, seems to me to be a sensible plan. Yes, Palmer Method, nib dipped in inkwell. Wish I had mastered it.

Chuck, history says that at one time Michigan was on CST. Commerce rules, eh, wot?
