For years, I have said that the naked ladies would dance on July 28. I remembered this afternoon that today is the 28th of July. Camera in hand, I went to the secret garden. Breeze was gently wafting through the trees and flowers; and the Naked Ladies were dancing!

My first year in my house, I had five stalks poke through the ground. Last year, three. This year, one. I'd better enjoy it while it lasts, because if the trend continues, next year I'll have -1 of them.
What a surprise to find a handful of these in the front yard by the old gate at the drive. Not the only surprise Sycamore Hill has provided, but at least a pleasant one!
Jim-- That's regression. Maybe it will turn around!?
HR-- That is a pleasant surprise. If you saw the greenery in May, you would have, well, not noticed it.
Oh, those are lovely!! I would love to see them dance. :)
Lin-- Beautiful day and the breeze was just right!
WOw... mine don't show up till August... when they deign to bloom at all. I love 'em.. have split the bulb clusters a few times but it always takes about 3 years before any that were moved start to bloom.
Sharkbytes-- Ours long gone by the time yours bloom. Maybe a trip in your direction would extend the time I have to enjoy them?
