Tehe. :o)

The Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution was ratified February 3, 1913.

If you think that had little bearing on your personal life, think IRS.  Think April 15.  Think 1040.

Btw, have you received all your 1099s and so forth?

You're welcome.

All of our tax stuff has been sitting in a folder for over a week now. Spread sheet summaries, receipts, back-up. Neat and tidy and ready for the accountant appointment on the 14th. People get their undies in a twist about taxes, and while our tax system isn't fair it is necessary.

Oh! We are supposed to thank you for that grim reminder?

Hubby spends hours dealing with taxes. i'm willing to cook all of the meals in exchange for that.

Grace, taxes are necessary, and I don't resent paying my share. I do, however resent the fact that our tax code has become a political football and entirely too cumbersome ever to be corrected, I fear. Took my packet to the accountant this morning, and the preparation of it last night was probably what motivated me to post this.

Chuck, yes, of course. Obligations must be met!

Vee, fair trade. Same here, she stews, I fret.

This post reminded me of an article I read in this morning's Washington Post - a 92 year old CPA is retiring.

Entire article HERE>. The gentleman is quite charming...

Fair enough . . . thanks. I think.

Have my papers in a drawer. Got the reminder from my tax guy. Need to put the date in the calendar.

Sharkey, yeah, that tax guy will always keep us apprised of the impending deadlines.
