Oh, yes, there is still green in the grass, and in some of the trees, too. But trust me. Fall is here.
Yard detritus to be hauled away.
The fountain is "winterized" and mums and gourds take the spotlight.
Cruelest joke of all: the "s" word has returned to the weather prophet's vocabulary.

No, no - not the *s* word! (It is so flat where you live but you got yourself some nice trees - just need more of them.)
We had snow on Halloween. Not enough to stick, but enough to remember last winter. :( Ick. I'm not ready!
The fall colors are beautiful and exceptionally so in Indiana.
The one little stick in our yard that our builder refers to as a tree is not where it can be viewed from a window. I assume the handful of leaves are turning some color. (You know what they say about assumptions.)
But we can see the gloomy fall sky and our furnace is running. Yea, it's fall.
Grace, our yard supports 15 trees, plus various shrubs. We do what we can!
Lin, I watched the high school football roundup Friday night, something I don't usually do, but I saw what I knew I would-- lots of games played in driving snow, most of them south of us. We didn't get s---.
I was just reminded that there is a second stick/tree in our yard that can be seen from a window if one cares to go into the bathroom to look.
Vee, fall is a beautiful time in Indiana. Nice chatting with you about trees, and contractors, and politics, the which I chose email. You'll have it soon.
That was cold.
Chuck, much as I like fall, it does seem to end rudely, abruptly.
Yes, it does and that's the part that I do not like. Not even a little bit.
Even worse than the S word, we are hearing of another PV bearing down on us for next week.
Sharkey, I have to say that PVs me greatly.
