Emotional for me this year with a grandson going into basic training. You have done that, so you understand.

Indeed. Honor to whom honor is due.

Vee, emotional co-mingling of pride and apprehension. B will do well.
Two grandkids home here after each had a tour in the Middle East. Doing well. Still have one in service.

Chuck, the PBS show last night was quite well done, for the most part. Teared up as the old vets who hit Normandy were honored.

I watched the PBS show too. Left me a little raw. - and what with the VA scandal in all, i hope we as American's are paying more attention to our Hero's and bring pressure on the gov- to take care of them as they deserve. Have a blessed day!

Da Poppins, there can be no excuse for asking people to lay their lives on the line, then turn them away when they require mending, imo.

A good reminder to us all. Hope your holiday weekend was a good one.

Shelly, setting aside a special day is, well, "special," but I try to remember them everyday.
