Shark, it would certainly seem so. We hire representatives to make those tough choices, including compromise where needed. Then they get all balled up in job security, political correctness, and politics. Worse, when the "majority" wields enough power to force its will down everyone's throat, we simply have a dictatorship of a different stripe. The end.
