"What are your New Year resolutions?" asked Beloved Beautiful .
"I'm not making any this year," I replied.
Silence. No response. Nothing. Nada. Nil. Zip. I turned a bit to look toward her. She wore a quizzical, nay, even puzzled look on her face. "What?" I said.
"Nothing," she replied. "I'm just trying to grasp the concept of being satisfied with that level of performance."
Happy New Year, Everyone!

My daddy always used to say I needed to know when to leave well enough alone. Is that an answer?
A good answer, too. My daddy's wording was, Don't fiddle with the bandwagon if you can't toot a horn.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" And, don't add anything else to break (such as a New Year's resolution).
I haven't made any for years. That's not to say I don't work on improvements, I just don't seem to get mine coordinated with a calendar day. I guess mine were made on the trip to OK- did some serious talking to myself on that one.
Happy 2014! I enjoyed the resolution that your shared at my place. ツ
Vee, adding things that can be broken does seem to be a bad idea.
Sharkey, you practice the on-going self improvement technique which evidently requires a good talking to yourself on occasion!
KC Bob, may each day with which you are gifted be a blessing to you and to others!
Oh snap! JoAnn - You go girl!
Grace, do not encourage her.
