Break

Warming now, and the temperature is above the freezing point, 34o.  This is a pleasing development.  Pictures are included for those guys and gals who love the "beautiful snow."

Back to the house.

The coming rainfall is almost certain to create more problems.

Thanks for the pics! I am one of the "beautiful snow" people. However, I don't think rain is beautiful.

I am resolved not to complain again about the weather we are having down here. Nothing at all to compare with what you all are having to deal with~

I ended up stranded in my home through Thursday evening; the city didn't come to plow my neighborhood until yesterday. I got out by digging out into the street to the tire tracks created by my neighbors with trucks, and even then I kept getting stuck and having to dig myself out.

Snow. Bah.

Vee, the beautiful thing about rain is that, if the air temperature is warm enough, it speeds the melting of the snow!

Shelly, I have noticed that you have not been having the warmest of weather, but still, much warmer than it is here. And I am missing Texas.

Jim, I actually didn't go anywhere until Thursday, but then, there was no place I had to be! My son arranged to have my drive plowed. How special is that!

Yup. That certainly looks like winter. It also looks like it does around here.

Chuck, so then sending these pix to you is sending coals to New Castle.

The snow is beautiful...I love your house shot!

It's been warmer here and raining..it's a mess. Streets are flooded and the sewers are all covered. Pot holes have emerged and driving is interesting to say the least.

Lin, "mess," I know what you are saying; but the snow is melting!

The last pic is pretty - dirty yucky snow is not beautiful...it's been raining here for 2 solid days - our pissant amount of snow has been long gone...The rain has made it a bit dreary - but hey, it has been rain NOT snow...I'll take it.

Grace, the good news is that in another day the snow will be gone. Yet I am sure we will get more.

The warmer temps here have played havoc with our driveway. 12 inches of slush on a hill is not good.

Sharkey, indeed, 12 inches of slush on an incline is not good.

Perhaps it is like that, but at least it's not Newcastle coal. In other words, Misery loves company.

Chuck, my grandma used to say of people who were ill that "they were enjoying ill health." So here we are "enjoying our misery" and sharing with one another.
