Pi Day

Today is National Pi Day,  3.14, get it?

Coincidentally it is also the anniversary of the birth of probably the most famous theoretical physicist of his time.  Albert Einstein 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955

To celebrate Pi Day, please have a nice slice of pie, fruit pie of course, and certainly the pie should be round.

Well now, I think I may have to change my dinner menu. We have dessert when we have company and we have company. Good timing for "Pi Day."

Round? That's not what I heard in school. There they taught me that pie are square. (Truth be told, I never saw a square pie. Although I have seen some rectangular pies.)

We have been working on a lemon curd tart all week---sorta like pie, right?

Chuck, you "heard" right. Pi are square; but pie are round-- or rectangular.

Lin, close enough; and if I understood correctly it was delicious.

Mathematicians say, "pie r square." Bakers know that pie are round. Mom used to make square/rectangular pies but called them cobblers. She too knew that pie are round.

Ilene, oh, I remember those cobblers!
