After 40 Days in the Wilderness

Home, that's where!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But being home is so delightful

Please continue to pray and wish me well.  I am a long way from where I would like to be, but I will get there.

Vanilla,
God bless your pointed head - I am soooo happy for you to get to go home! I had not been reading (or writing) blogs for a few months, and thus did not realize what a sore trial you have been going through until today when I read several of your back issues and caught up with you - so to speak.

Dear me, and to think how downcast I have occasionally been lately, over much smaller things - I mean, my goodness, open heart surgery for crying out loud.

How you found the strength, or the energy, to leave a comment for me the other day is beyond me. All I can say is, I am praying for your continued recovery and I am more grateful than you can know for your kind comments over the years.
God bless you and your BBBH. ~ Marsha

Marsha, I so appreciate the kind note. I noticed that you had not posted on Spots and Wrinkles for some time and so hoped that things were well with you and the LOC. Following the eleven days in the hospital I had access to the internet at the nursing home (off and on, for the connection was often wobbly). I eventually had the strength to get back in the blogoverse on a limited basis. Started checking up on the pals.

If I learned nothing else at the elder ranch I was reminded repeatedly that even though my circumstances were not ideal I am exceedingly blessed in that so many others suffer afflictions and limitations much beyond my own. Not the least of my blessings would be the simple knowledge that the Lord is with me and sustains me.

So after forty days away from home I am now singing, "Constantly abiding Jesus is mine; He never leaves me lonely..."

May the Lord bless and keep you and yours.

Be it ever so humble there's no place like home.

So happy you have returned to where you hearth is.

Chuck, home where the hearth is; home where the heart is.
