Ellie was a wonderful, elegant lady. She always entertained with grace and, when I think about being in your home for a meal, I remember not only the delicious food but also the beautiful china. She was a china kind of entertainer, though she would likely be serving vegetables grown in her own garden and have flowers on the table that she had given hours of special care. She was a truly remarkable person who would have been equally at home in a mansion with servants or a cottage by the lake. Blessings on this day of remembering.

Losing one who has been so close is so hard. My wife passed away in May 1994. Her faith changed me and her love for me made me the man I am today.
It is good to remember...
Vee, well said. You described very nicely a part of who she was. Thank you.
KC Bob, the loss of a soul mate is difficult, yet we know it is not the end. You were a fortunate man to have such a lady to love you and mold you.
Grace, we should hold always those we love: those we have with us while we have them near; those who have passed on in our memory.
Aw....such a sweet tribute to your lady. Wishing you sweet remembrances of her today.
So glad you have such good memories of her.
Lin, good years together, good memories. Yet I have been fortunate in that my life has gone on, and I have BBBH to keep me on the pathway.
Marsha, thank you. The ladies in my life have been a blessing, starting with my mother, of course.
She sounds like a wonderful woman, and I am glad to know some about her so we can join you in remembering her today.
Shelly, thank you for the kind thoughts.
