Crabapple Products

The crabapple tree atoned for the paucity of last year's crop by providing abundantly more than expected this year.  Picked apples.  Got the ladder; picked more apples.  Filled a box.  BBBH did stuff with the apples, then we started processing them.

Burbling away!

We got a bunch of crabapple butter!

Then we canned a gob-lot of crabapple jelly!

Then we cleaned the kitchen.
The end.

  1. Hope BBBH makes you lots of biscuits to go with the jelly. Makes my mouth water!

  3. I have nothing but admiration for folks who do stuff likes this. I love apple butter - toast with apple butter and cinnamon - best dessert ever!

  4. You must have the yellow crabs. Mine are red, but I found a yellow tree on a roadside about 6 miles from me. Haven't "stolen" any yet. This year I didn't get much food preservation done.

  5. Vee has it right. That stuff's made to spread on hot biscuits. Yum yum.

  6. Vee, biscuits: Yes!

    Pearl, I'd share.

Grace, you described my morning breakfast!

Sharkey, pretty little things; tasty, too.

    Chuck, hoping for biscuits soon.
