Coincidentally it is also the anniversary of the birth of probably the most famous theoretical physicist of his time. Albert Einstein 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955
To celebrate Pi Day, please have a nice slice of pie, fruit pie of course, and certainly the pie should be round.
Round? That's not what I heard in school. There they taught me that pie are square. (Truth be told, I never saw a square pie. Although I have seen some rectangular pies.)
Mathematicians say, "pie r square." Bakers know that pie are round. Mom used to make square/rectangular pies but called them cobblers. She too knew that pie are round.
Well now, I think I may have to change my dinner menu. We have dessert when we have company and we have company. Good timing for "Pi Day."
ReplyDeleteOh my I love pie! A sweet pie song
ReplyDeleteVee, glad I could help with the menu. Bon appetit!
ReplyDeleteGrace, Oh, yes. Cake is jake, but pie, Oh my!
Grace, thanks for the pie song. I have added the link to the post.

ReplyDeleteChuck, you "heard" right. Pi are square; but pie are round-- or rectangular.
ReplyDeleteLin, close enough; and if I understood correctly it was delicious.
