The Eyes Have It!

On this very morning I am having the first of two unrelated surgeries on my eyes. This one is eyelid repair, and I have no idea how long it will keep me from the blogosphere. Know, though, that there may be very few, if any posts in the immediate future. I do have a couple in queue which will post at the predesignated times.

What I will miss even more than writing for the blog is reading your blogs. I hate to get behind, for it becomes almost impossible to catch up with everyone.

The second surgery is three weeks down the road. It is a corneal transplant. I have already been advised that recovery, while nearly 100% certain, is not instantaneous. So I suspect that I am going to have to be finding other modes of entertainment for the next several weeks. C'est la vie.

I wish you well, have a wonderful fall season, and hope the snow doesn't fly too early!

Yours for brighter vision, and a brigher future,
Vanilla

  5. Oooh, I hope you are okay after all that fun. and they give ya an eye lift too while they're digging around in there. (Not that you need it, pally.) I would just think they would leave the place nicer than when they came--you know, like the rangers always say.

If you want, I'll call you and I can read all your favorite blogs to you. And then we can come up with smarty-aleck comments to write back. Doesn't that sound like fun?!! Get well soon or we are gonna have to resort to that!

    What's your phone number????? ;)

  7. Popping over from Duck and Wheel. Wishing you the best and prayers for a speedy recovery all the way around. A couple weeks ago eye doc told me I have beginning cataracts in the back (?) a result from all the cortisone over the years.

Feel better quick and get back to our bloggy world as soon as you can. Prayers coming your way.

Helene, thank you for stopping by; and thanks for the prayers and well-wishes.
When the time is right, you will find cataract surgery to be a blessing. I had both eyes done several years ago.
