We got rain twice in the last four days, totaling perhaps an inch or so; but now the eight-day forecast looks like more heat sans water. After the sprinkling of rain last time, our ground squirrel crawled almost into the downspout trying to get a sip of water.<br /><br />Lin, we are all saddened at the premature browning of our world; yet I am hopeful.
